Sulaiman Al Rajhi Colleges (SRC) and Maastricht University (UM) will co-organize the Annual Winter Course on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in Medical Education from 31 January to 4 February 2016, at Ramada Hotel-Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia.

Now in its 7th year, the course is part of the 10-year educational franchise contract between SRC and UM. It is based upon the PBL Summer Course of UM in the Netherlands in terms of materials, presentations and speakers.

Maastricht University’s delegation for the 7th edition will be headed by Prof. Cees van der Vleuten, Director of the School of Health Professions Education with six other professionals in various fields of expertise.

The highlights of the course will be the Basic Course for the first two days, followed by the Advanced course with Track I: Curriculum Development and Track II: PBL Assessment on days 3-5. On the last day of the course, participants will be given two options, regardless of their tracks, to choose between Programme Evaluation in Medical Education and Designing Assessment Programme.

Expected participants are medical health care educators and health care professionals from various medical schools all over Saudi Arabia as well as from the Gulf region.

The 5-day activity is a CME/PD Accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
