Assessment authority Cees van der Vleuten and his team of experts will guide you to the cutting edge of where research on assessment currently is. This course is an important pillar and building stone in health professions educations research and will help you familiarize yourself with a broad range of research topics in the assessment domain. In addition, you will learn how to locate and retrieve essential literature and collaborate with your peers in assessing the quality of research approaches and journal articles. By the end of the course, you will have an overview of modern assessment research and practice, and in-depth knowledge of recent developments and existing gaps.

You are involved in (re)designing assessment practices in the health professions education or in research of Assessment:
Are you a MSc+ in health professions education, a (beginning) researcher or a PhD in this domain? Or are you a (para) medical educationalist/curriculum designer with a strong research orientation and interested in the latest research insights.
Note: This is not a beginner’s courses on research. SHE offers this advanced course focusing on cutting edge research on is specific topic. You are expected to have the following prior knowledge: You have a higher education degree equivalent to a Dutch Master’s degree in one of the health professions, such as a master’s degree in medicine, health sciences, educational sciences, psychology or any other related paramedical discipline, such as nursing, physiotherapy, dentistry etc.
