'“In the near future I intend to increase my knowledge about the methodology of education”'

I decided to attend “The Summer Course: Introduction to Problem-based Learning” because I wanted to experience the process of conventional methods of learning and teaching medicine.
The management of my University is considering using parts of PBL in the education process. The most important advantages of this course from my point of view were: the possibility to learn the basic concepts of PBL; the possibility of collaboration with academics from other countries and exchanging experience and views with them.

I am impressed by the professionalism of the course lecturers. I appreciate the organization of classes, the interactive way of transferring knowledge and skills. Despite the large number of classes I did not feel tired and spent the evenings actively, enjoying the beauty of Maastricht.
Now that I am familiar with the principles of PBL, I will adjust the Forensic Medicine course for students at my University. In particular, I will change the process of student assessment and use feedback to improve the quality of my lectures and classes.

In the near future I intend to increase my knowledge about the methodology of education. I would like to take part in the second part of the course in Maastricht next year, as I am positive it will enhance my own performance as an academic teacher and mentor.
