Dr. Nur Faraheen Abdul Rahman,

'The process for the SHE scholarship application was simple and intuitive.'

My job as a clinical academician sparked my initial interest to undertake the Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) with SHE at Maastricht University.  Parallel to the motto of “Leading in Learning”, MHPE has helped me to position myself correctly as a clinical teacher. Not only I feel academically satisfied, it has also improved my teaching practice. Since the MHPE, I have been tasked for various roles in the medical education unit. I also represent the faculty in the University Idea Lab Initiative, drafting strategic plans for teaching and delivery. With expanded knowledge, experience and collaborative network MHPE has provided me, I feel that I am now ready to embark on a PhD journey in the area of Competency-based Medical Education (CBME) globalization.

The process for the SHE scholarship application was simple and intuitive. The course has provided me with useful tools to write a sound PhD proposal. I am very grateful for the guidance by Professor Dr. Cees van der Vleuten and Dr. Janneke Frambach as my supervisors throughout this course. Going forward, a PhD could potentially enhance my career as a clinical teacher-researcher, and a global leader in medical education.
