'This PhD will launch me higher in becoming a leader in health professions research in Sub-Saharan Africa'

From the onset I was delighted when my proposal was accepted for me to undertake a PhD at SHE. My delight was not only because I was going to do a PhD but because I was maintaining the same supervisors who guided and coached me during the development of my PhD proposal. I was sure to get the same expert guidance throughout my PhD and I was right to think so. Throughout the PhD project I have received insightful supervision from my supervisors at SHE. They are understanding and enthusiastic to support and fine tune whatever you intend to investigate. They are liberal allowing you to determine your research direction, of course with their subtle guidance. They are also among the top notch researchers in health professions education research globally and I happy to be associated with them.

I also value greatly the support received from administrative staff at SHE. They are always quick to respond to your needs.

Fast forward to my graduation, I value most especially the citation as well as advice given me by my supervisors during my defense and conferment. Three key things keep on ringing in my mind daily, which I intend to keep: ‘be patient and do not run too fast for others and most especially continue to be determined and you will do well in future.’

I believe that my PhD from SHE will boost my career growth and development and will launch me into higher heights of becoming a leader in health professions research in Sub-Saharan Africa and globally. I have really enjoyed my PhD experience at SHE and I believe SHE is the best choice when it comes to choosing a place to do a PhD in health professions education.
